MISSION STATEMENT
The Education Charity aims to:
· Provide financial support towards education and training of individuals within the industry – either by one-off grants, bursaries or annual awards
The majority of the funding provided by the Education Charity is allocated to the Institute of Meat, the professional membership organisation for the meat industry. The Institute regularly organises events and study trips and provides fully funded places for student applicants to attend these.
In addition, the Education Charity funds awards at the annual Meat Training Council/Institute of Meat Prizegiving. These are given to students achieving excellence in their chosen field.
Applications are accepted from individuals and will be referred to the Institute of Meat for review against their criteria for awards administered by them and including the Gary Baker Award.
