IOM/WCB ANNUAL PRIZEGIVING

On 23 February the annual prize giving of the Institute of Meat and Worshipful Company of Butchers took place at Tallow Chandlers Hall. The prizes were presented by The Worshipful Company of Butchers Master, Mrs Patricia Dart, and included a mix of student and apprenticeship winners as well as The Gary Baker Award and a number of IoM Accredited Master Butcher and Fellowship of the Institute of Meat prizes. The Worshipful Company of Butchers prizes included:

In addition The Master, Patricia Dart, plus two other Liverymen, Clare Cheney and John Mettrick were awarded the very sought after Fellowship of the Institute of Meat by the Chief Executive of the Institute of Meat and Meat Training Council, Mr Bill Jermey.

A delightful lunch then followed which on completion The Master thanked all for coming and impressed the importance of continuing this event as well as congratulating all those who had received awards as they were the lifeblood of the meat industry.
