WCB October Court Lunch 2019
We hope you will be able to join us for the new Master's first Court Lunch when award-winning chef, Simon Boyle will be the special guest speaker.

Simon is also an author and social entrepreneur. Best known for founding Beyond Food and the acclaimed London Bridge restaurant Brigade, he is a pioneer in using food to help vulnerable people out of homelessness.
As usual, you can expect a drinks reception, followed by a first-class three course lunch with wine, all within the surroundings of the new Butchers' Hall.
Nuffield Scholar talk
Plus, Caroline Mitchell, a Nuffield Scholar sponsored by WCB will be speaking on her recently completed project on ‘How to Make Meat Eating Quality a Supply Chain Priority’ at 12.00 midday prior to the Court Lunch.
You are all very welcome to attend this talk, even if you are not attending the lunch.
Caroline, who up till recently was the Director of Meat Science at JSR Genetics Ltd, has been visiting individuals, meat plants and institutions in Ireland, Spain, Australia, Japan, the United States as well as attending the World Meat Congress in Dallas, Texas and World Pork Expo in Des Moines, Iowa.
She has been particularly focussing on carcass grading and payment systems which might play a role in improving eating quality for beef, sheepmeat and pigmeat in the UK.
She has had support funding from the WCB Education Charity.
