Join us at Butchers' Hall on Friday, 6th February 2026 for our monthly Court Lunch, featuring guest speaker Tom Gregory, Partner at Deloitte LLP, who is the youngest person ever to swim the English Channel. 

Guest Speaker - Tom Gregory (Swimmer and Author)

Tom Gregory grew up in Eltham, south-east London, and holds the world record for being the youngest person to swim the English Channel, a feat he accomplished in September 1988 at the age of 11. He recounted this experience in his critically acclaimed memoir, A Boy in the Water, which won the 2018 William Hill Sports Book of the Year. 

After attending Sandhurst, Gregory became an officer in the British Army's Royal Anglian Regiment, serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is now a Partner at the professional services firm Deloitte, with a focus on financial services. He lives in Surrey with his wife, two daughters and Crumble the dog.

Times: 12.15pm drinks for 1.00pm lunch

Where: Butchers' Hall

Price: £105 per person, inc VAT

Includes drinks reception, a three-course lunch with wine, and a Stirrup Cup

Dress code: Dark Lounge Suit (jacket & tie) / Business Attire
