The election....a historic occasion

All Liverymen admitted on or before 31 May 2025 are invited to attend the Election of Sheriffs at Guildhall on Wednesday 24 June 2026.

This annual election is one of the City of London’s most important events. As an eligible Liveryman, you have the right to vote and help choose the Sheriffs for the coming year.

The role of Sheriff is the oldest civic office in the City—even predating the Lord Mayor—so your participation helps uphold tradition and shape the future of the Square Mile.

Arrive at Guildhall from 11.15am to be seated by 11.45am for the Election.
