The Lady Mayoress, Mrs Elisabeth Mainelli will be the special guest and speaker at our June Court Lunch.

She was born in Germany and grew up in a family with strong roots in Franconia, Northern Bavaria. Elisabeth started work as an apprentice in hotel management which led her to come to London for the first time in 1983.

With a background in events management, she was the personal assistant to the managing partner of a global accountancy firm before spending 21 years building up a charter business to raise funds to re-build the barge, Lady Daphne, which Elisabeth and her husband, Michael bought the same week they got married in 1996.

Ladies Lunch at Butchers' Hall
The annual Ladies Court Lunch is always a popular occasion.

Elisabeth was Michael’s consort during his year as Master World Trader in 2017-2018 and they were co-Chairmen for the 2017 British Red Cross Christmas Market in Guildhall. She was Shrieval Consort from 2019 to 2021, an unusual two-year period due to the pandemic.

Elisabeth is a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Masons and a Freeman Honoris Causa of the Worshipful Company of World Traders.

She is a patron of Prevent VAWG (Violence Against Women and Girls) and wants to help raise awareness of this issue and support the initiatives that are tackling them.

Bookings will be accepted on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Please note that cancellations of a confirmed booking which is received on or after Friday 31st May 2024, will incur the full cost per person as a cancellation charge.
