Autumn Uncorked – Where Fun and Fundraising Met

Published on: 20 October 2025

Liverymen and their guests enjoyed a delightful Autumn Uncorked event on Friday, 17 October.

The evening kicked off with a fun game of Heads & Tails, bringing excitement and anticipation right from the start. Mrs. Angela Ressell, guest of Liveryman John Ressell, won the first prize—a bottle of Dumenil Champagne—while Ms. Patrycja Lipczik of Alliance, our Corporate Partner, took home the second prize, a bottle of Pinot Noir.

Guests then enjoyed a carefully selected menu, beginning with a smoked salmon starter, followed by Barolo-enriched steaks, and finishing with a glazed apple with caramel feuilletine for dessert.

Entertainment for the evening was provided by Tom Butterworth, who has 20 years of experience performing music on guitar and vocals, adding a lively and engaging atmosphere to the celebration.

Later, the raffle added even more excitement. PM Graham Baker was delighted to win the first prize, a tasting menu at Restaurant St. Barts, Liveryman Lucinda Baker claimed the second, a Porky Whites Hamper, and Mr Nick Dodds, guest of Liveryman Tim Hewens, secured the third prize, an Adlington three-bird roast.

“What a wonderful evening! The camaraderie, fellowship and atmosphere on the night were everything and more than we’ve come to expect from a Livery dinner — add to that the special meal, choice of wine, entertainment, and of course the room decoration. I can’t stop smiling!” said The Master and his consort.

Laughter, cheer, and a true sense of celebration filled the room, making the evening memorable for everyone involved. We are deeply grateful to all the supporters and sponsors whose generosity made this wonderful night possible.
