On Thursday 16th of July, this year’s Meat Industry Golf Day took place, being the largest yet with 25 teams competing in a Stapleford competition with prizes for teams and individuals. Essendon Golf course in Hertfordshire was again the venue, playing the old course which supplied more difficulty than last year’s new course.
Despite this there was extremely high scoring on the day with 18 players scoring higher than their handicaps would suggest. The day was full of good fun and fellowship with likeminded individuals from the same trade joining together for an enjoyable day of sport.
An amazing £5,314 was raised!

Next year’s event has already been booked for Thursday 15th July at Essendon Golf club, we are expecting a lot of support for this event, with most teams keen to participate again next year and 6/10 teams that couldn’t make this year’s event interested in next years.
