The New Master’s First Court Lunch

Published on: 7 October 2025

On 3 October, we held the first official Court Lunch for the new Master, a memorable occasion marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Company.

The event featured an engaging talk from Professor David Hughes, Professor of Food Marketing at Imperial College London, whose insights were warmly received by all present. We were also delighted to welcome Master Mercer, Ms Alice Hohler, as a special guest.

This special occasion was celebrated with Scottish dry-aged sirloin steaks served as the main course, generously donated by Liveryman Terry B. Murray. Our sincere thanks also go to Liveryman Peter Wright, who kindly donated a case of champagne for the raffle, which was won by Liveryman Peter Sturge.

Congratulations as well to our September 200 Club winners: Jim Connell (1st prize), Bill Thurston (2nd prize), and Colin Page (3rd prize). Thank you to everyone who continues to support this important fundraising initiative, which contributes greatly to the life of the Company.
