Major Award applications sought for three year funding in 2023-2025

Published on: 12 May 2022

REGISTERED CHARITIES ARE INVITED TO APPLY FOR 2023-2025 MAJOR AWARDS

The Worshipful Company of Butchers (WCB) supports selected charities with awards using the investment income generated in each financial year. Our policy is that normally two charities are beneficiaries of Major Awards which last for a period of at least three years.

The current Major Awards support ends in December 2022 and we are now inviting applications from registered charities who wish to be considered for financial support commencing in January 2023.

The annual amount awarded may vary year to year but is currently around £20,000.

Please read the eligibility criteria details on our Charity page before submitting an application.

All applications must be supported by a Liveryman of WCB who will, in the event of a successful application, continue during the period of funding to maintain an active relationship between WCB and the Charity. The process will involve the Charity and Education Committee considering all applications to produce a short list with a final selection, based on an interview and presentation by the short listed charity, in September 2022.

Applications must be submitted in writing by 24 June 2022 to:

The Chair of The Charity and Education and Committee,

Butchers' Hall, 87 Bartholomew Close, London, EC1A 7EB

The application should include details of the charity and what the funding is required for.

Short listed applicants will be invited to present to the committee in September 2022.
