Like many others, our Livery Company is about tradition, but it’s the people within the Worshipful Company of Butchers that make it such a special organisation. From Liverymen to members of Court, to those involved with our committees and societies, it is the opportunities to come together and enjoy a range of different experiences that leave a lasting impression.
Liverymen of the WCB have the chance to attend and be involved with a number of events, big and small. From the glamour of white tie and tails at our annual Ladies’ Banquet, and processing to Mansion House with a Boar’s Head to meet the Lord Mayor, to a day’s racing at Sandown Park or a tour of Lloyds of London - we hope there is something for everyone.
Not only do our own events offer much, but as member of the Butchers Company you are able to attend such marquee events as the City Food Lecture and take advantage of grandstand seating at the Lord Mayor’s Show.
Our societies offer another social outlet, with golf, shooting and poker among the activities that act as a catalyst for Liverymen to get together and enjoy themselves with like-minded people.
We urge Liverymen to get involved. Whether you are a regular attendee or not, you are promised a warm welcome.
